Melvin Josy
Melvin is an object and furniture designer of Indian origin who completed a post-graduate degree in design from UNSW in 2021. Melvin’s work is an investigation to find meaning in objects beyond their function and aesthetic. By creating objects based on narratives, he contextualizes traditional craft methods using modern technology and materials. Working closely with the rich craft tradition of India, Melvin aims to create objects that facilitate the exchange of cross-cultural knowledge.
