Wood Facts and Fiction: What science tells us about the real qualities of wood and wood movement.

Jugo Ilic is Australia’s foremost wood scientist, having worked at CSIRO in the Forestry and Forest Products Division for 36 years. His special interests include wood structure and timber identification, wood water relationships, wood quality and non-destructive testing of wood. He has published widely in specialist journals and in Australian Wood Review on properties of wood.

Jugo will discuss facts and fictions about wood movement, and will be happy to answer questions about wood structure and behaviour.
